Wales in London: St Davids Day Celebration 2021 – Welsh of the West End
Date: 1st March @ 06:30pm
Host: Wales in London
What’s it about?
On Monday 1st March 2021, Wales in London will present an evening of entertainment, hosted by the well-known political broadcaster and commentator Guto Harri.
Wales in London are thrilled to welcome WELSH OF THE WEST END (www.welshofthewestend.com) – Wales’ finest musical theatre voices direct from London’s West End as well as Professor Mererid Hopwood, the first woman to win the Bardic Chair at the National Eisteddfod, who will once more address us and toast the Immortal Memory of Dewi Sant.
‘Gwnewch y pethau bychan’ or ‘Do the little things’ are considered to be Dewi Sant’s most famous words, and it may be a small gesture in this immensely changed world of Covid, but I hope you will help us to continue the fine tradition of the St David’s Day Dinner in London by buying a ticket, wearing a daffodil, and joining Wales in London for an evening of Welsh Celebration.
A preview of the concert was recently featured on ‘Heno’ S4/C, which you can view here – https://www.s4c.cymru/clic/programme/807474378
How do I join?
Tickets can be purchased at: https://momenthouse.com/stdavidsdaycelebration
Proceeds will go towards supporting the Welsh of the West End performers and there will be an opportunity to make a donation to further support the immensely talented rising Welsh stars throughout the performance. There will also be an opportunity to support Wales in London charity partner Community Foundation Wales https://communityfoundationwales.org.uk/ and once more, Wales in London will recognise the recipient(s) of the Wales in London Philanthropic Fund.
